Becca McClure
Becca McClure is a Registered Social Worker (MSW). She provides support to children, adolescents, and adults under the supervision of and/or in consultation with Dr. Kim Edwards, C.Psych.
Training/Work Experience: Becca has a Master in Social Work from the University of Waterloo. She has worked in a number of community settings and has provided a wide range of social work services to children, youth and adults. She is currently working towards certification in Play Therapy.
Presenting Concerns: Becca works with children, youth and adults who have concerns with anxiety, body focused repetitive behaviours, low mood, emotion regulation challenges, low self esteem and stress.
Approach: Becca takes a playful and collaborative, evidence- and strengths-based approach, integrating art and self-compassion to facilitate emotional wellbeing. She has been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Approaches, and Self-Compassion focused techniques.
Outside of MindFit: Becca enjoys spending time with her family, growing her yarn collection (a separate hobby from the crocheting she’s also known to dabble in), playing her banjolele and walking in the woods listening to a podcast.
