Dr. Esther Direnfeld

Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Esther Direnfeld is a registered clinical psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist in the Province of Ontario.

Training/Work Experience: Dr. Direnfeld completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Victoria and her predoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at Hamilton Health Sciences. In addition to working at MindFit, Dr. Direnfeld is also a Staff Neuropsychologist at Hamilton Health Sciences and Assistant Professor (part-time) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at McMaster University.

Presenting Concerns: Dr. Direnfeld works with adolescents and adults with a broad range of challenges including ADHD, anxiety, depression/low mood, emotion-regulation challenges (e.g., anger), low self-esteem, adjustment to major life changes, and sleep difficulties.

Approach: Dr. Direnfeld uses a warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and strengths-based approach to her work. She incorporates her knowledge of brain function to help individuals understand their challenges and Workout (treatment) recommendations. She has extensive experience collaborating with schools and medical teams to implement recommendations.

Outside of MindFit: Outside of her work, Dr. Direnfeld loves spending time with her family, reading, and baking.
