Zoe Sas

Social Worker

Zoe Sas is a Registered Social Worker (MSW) and provides couples counselling at MindFit.

Training/Work Experience: Zoe has a Masters of Social Work from The Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, families and couples in hospital, educational, and community-based settings. Zoe has provided individual, family, couple and group support, as well as crisis intervention to individuals who struggle with mood and anxiety disorder, psychotic disorders, additions, learning disabilities, and the impact of trauma and grief.

Zoe is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Presenting Concerns: Zoe works with couples who are experiencing strain in their relationship and/or want to improve their communication and connection.

Approach: Zoe uses a collaborative and attachment-based approach in her couples counselling, and leans heavily on theories from Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT seeks to understand how people manage their emotions, and how these emotions become intertwined in, and sometimes complicate, the relationship dynamic. Zoe believes in developing a strong rapport with her clients in order to nurture a safe and open therapeutic environment. Zoe understands that couples counselling can feel vulnerable and scary, and works hard to help clients feel heard and understood, while also making strides in their goals as a couple.
